CEBU, Philippines — Multi-awarded actress and platinum album selling GMA artist Jennylyn Mercado makes the ultimate comeback into the music scene with her newest single “Ayaw Pang Umuwi” from her anticipated debut album under ABS-CBN’s Star Music, coming out very soon.

“Sobrang nakakakilig. Finally! This album is one year in the making but it is definitely worth the wait,” said Jennylyn.

Composed by Trisha Denise and produced by ABS-CBN Music creatives, content, and operations head Jonathan Manalo, “Ayaw Pang Umuwi” is a mellow pop track about the blissful feeling of being with someone special.

“At first, I was not sure if the song would fit me since it’s very different from my past songs. It’s very cutesy tapos medyo bagets! But of course, I put all my trust in Sir Jonathan and Sir Roxy. They are some of the best in the music industry and I know I am in good hands,” she shared.

Since the song dropped on all major music streaming platforms last Friday (April 11), fans warmly received Jennylyn’s newest track creating more anticipation for her full-length album.

“Natamaan ako bawat linya, grabe. Walang kupas ang boses ni Ultimate Star!” said @marinelorubia3534

“Ganda ng song at ang ganda pa ng boses! Thanks to Star music for Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado's newest album! Nakaka good vibes na song,” shared @meinardsantiago3609

“Can’t wait na marinig pa ibang songs sa album niya,” added @Darleeeee10.

Dubbed as the country’s Ultimate Star, Jennylyn has released multiple albums and extended plays in the past two decades and is known for several OPM hits such as “Kahit Sandali,” “If I’m Not In Love,” “Sa Aking Panaginip,” and “Basta’t Nandito Ka.” — (FREEMAN)
