Sitti Navarro, daytime fireworks at SM

CEBU, Philippines - Catch bossa nova queen Sitti Navarro in SM City Cebu and listen to her amazing sweet voice as she sings timeless music from the past and today’s greatest hits.

In June 2009, Sitti released her third full-length album entitled “Contagious,” comprising of graceful Bossa Nova interpretations of classics such as “Adia” (Sarah McLachlan), “So Em Teus Braços” and “Dindi” (Antonio Carlos Jobim), “No More I Love You’s” (Annie Lennox), “Do you Really Want To Hurt Me” (Culture Club), “‘Til There Was You” (from the musical, “The Music Man”), and many more. The album also includes an original song co-penned by Andrew Fromm entitled, “Is This Love?”

In the same year, Sitti also dabbled in theatre, playing the role of Martha in the Philippine staging of the Tony-award winning, 19th century stage drama, “Spring Awakening.”

2011 was a year of bold changes for Sitti when she decided to cross over to mainstream pop with her self-titled album, “Sitti,” featuring a mix of easy-listening original tunes and alluring covers.

See her perform live on April 16, 5 p.m. at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.

Here’s another treat for shoppers this summer: witness a spectacular daytime fireworks display on April 13, 20, and 27, 4 p.m. at the North Open Parking. (PR)(FREEMAN)
