Dialysis care network expands Philippines footprint
CEBU, Philippines — NephroPlus, Asia’s largest dialysis care network, has strengthened its presence in the Philippines with the acquisition of seven new dialysis clinics, capitalizing on the country’s US$200 million dialysis market.
This latest expansion brings its nationwide footprint to 35 facilities, catering to nearly 2,000 patients and reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care, said Vikram Vuppala, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NephroPlus.
The newly acquired centers are located in Ibaan, Guimba, Cabiao, Carmona, Malasiqui, Lucena, and San Pablo.
According to Vuppala, by expanding access to dialysis services, NephroPlus aims to address the growing demand for specialized renal care in the country.
The acquisition is part of the company’s broader international growth strategy, which recently included a joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
With operations spanning five countries, NephroPlus continues to position itself as a global leader in dialysis care, integrating cutting-edge technology for remote monitoring, clinical data analytics, and outcome-based research.
NephroPlus has also made substantial investments in the Philippine market, focusing on operational efficiency and patient care improvements. These initiatives have generated approximately 400 new jobs in clinical and administrative roles.
The company also plans to establish a training academy for dialysis nurses and technicians to further enhance workforce capabilities.
“Our expansion aligns with NephroPlus’ ambitious global growth roadmap. With the Philippine dialysis market valued at US$200 million and the increasing prevalence of chronic kidney disease, we see immense potential to scale our proven care model, combining innovation, operational excellence, and compassionate patient care to drive better health outcomes,” said Vuppala.
With a network of over 475 clinics in 270 cities worldwide, NephroPlus serves more than 32,000 patients monthly.
Vuppala said the company remains committed to setting new benchmarks in dialysis care, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals battling kidney disease. — (FREEMAN)
