Valte, Sorbito lead The STAR Invitational Golf winners

MANILA, Philippines — Quintin Valte took the Lowest Gross honors with an 80 while Aaron Sorbito earned the Lowest Net with a 69 in the first The Philippine STAR Invitational Golf Cup at Valley Golf in Antipolo Monday.
Doun Yatco, Romerico Macalintal and Francoise Denysw Fainsan emerged as class champions in the event marking the relaunch of The STAR’s motoring website Wheels.PH.
Yatco (80-10-70) was the Class A champion with Marc Christian Yu and Willy Tee Ten as runners-up while Macalintal (99-28-71) edged Mikio Tsukui and Dennis Fronda for Class B plum. Podium winners in the ladies class were Fainsan (89-17-72), Julia Ira Jornada and Mary Ann Reyes.
Francis Ang took the most accurate drive honors, Sorbito the longest drive and Allan Chan nearest the pin.
Sketchers Philippines was platinum sponsor while Kinetiqq Ph, Bistro Aurora, Thunder Automotive Parts, Ayala Corp.
