Singaporean, Vietnamese join Team Secret’s international Valorant roster

MANILA, Philippines — Team Secret’s Valorant squad is All-Filipino no more as it welcomed Singaporean Sha “ZesBeeW” Mohtar, and Vietnamese Nguyen “Nizzy” Tan Thành to the roster, along with former Global Esports player Filipino Kelly “kellyS” Sedillo.
The news comes after the team bid farewell to James "2GE" Goopio and placed Jeremy "Jremy" Cabrera to the inactive roster. Meanwhile, veteran player Jessie "JessieVash" Cuyco will be taking a break from the competitive scene.
"Right now, I am feeling somewhat exhausted from the negative feedback from the community, particularly if it is not related to the game. I feel like I have to step out to not affect the team. Hopefully, this break will help me get my energy back to compete again someday,” Cuyco said in a video posted on his social media accounts.
Cuyco was part of the then BREN Esports Valorant squad that qualified to the Valorant Champions in Berlin in 2021. The roster that qualified for the Masters but was unable to fly out due to travel document woes was then acquired by Team Secret.
Cabrera and Goopio joined the Adobo Gang in 2023 and 2025, respectively, and hugely impacted the team. They helped the squad move a match away from returning to Valorant Champions the past two years. The team had consistently ended its VCT Pacific runs at fifth to sixth place since 2023, but the 2025 season has seen it fall to last place in both VCT Pacific Kickoff and VCT Pacific Stage 1, only winning one series so far this year.
With the departures, Team Secret has welcomed three new players ahead of the qualification for the upcoming Valorant event in the Esports World Cup.
“kellyS” Sedillo, formerly of Global Esports, won their series against Team Secret and served as the team's in-game leader. But even with the win, Global Esports struggled in VCT Pacific Stage 1, also getting eliminated. Sedillo departed Global Esports during the current off-season, while fellow Filipino Mark "patrickWHO" Musni was released by the team after only playing for the squad for less than six months.
For his part, Singapore’s “ZesBeeW” Mohtar was part of the Boom Esports roster that competed in VCT Pacific Ascension back in 2024. He reunites with then Boom Esports now current Team Secret coach Ji "Meow" Dong-jun.
Completing the new additions is Vietnamese Tan Thanh, who is promoted from Team Secret's challengers team, Team Secret Academy. The former Fancy United player was a top performer in VCT Challengers Vietnam, being the highest rated player in the second split of 2023.
The trio will join Adrian “invy” Reyes and Brheyanne “Wild0reoo” Reyes in Team Secret's bid to qualify to the Esports World Cup this month.
