PBA Finals Game 6 poll: Coronation or extension?
MANILA, Philippines – The Barangay Ginebra Kings are one win away from ending an eight-year title drought.
The Kings weathered the Meralco Bolts' late run in the fourth quarter Sunday to pull off a Game Five win, 92-81, and take a 3-2 lead in the PBA Governors’ Cup finals.
Justin Brownlee stole the show with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Rookie Scottie Thompson made up for a subpar performance by nailing a 3-point dagger with less than a minute before the final buzzer.
Meralco's Allen Durham posted 20 points and 18 rebounds while Game Three hero Reynel Hugnatan added 17.
Tip-off tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum is at 7 p.m. Will Ginebra finally win the series or will Meralco force a winner-take-all match on Friday? Vote and sound off in the comments section below!
