Don Bosco leaned on the heroics of Jorge Sabellano, who virtually sapped the energy of Pampanga High School with his key two-pointers that ensured victory for his team.
The exciting final game, which featured several lead changes and thrilling plays, was reduced to a two-on-two match as two players on both sides had fouled out.
For a while it looked like Pampanga High School was about to score an upset as Dian Paulo Henson completed a two-point play in the early goings of the overtime period to give his team an 11-9 lead. Don Boscos main man Sabellano, however, would not be denied his chance to shine as he went on a scoring rampagne thereafter to turn the tide in his teams favor en route a winning the championships.
Were confident that our team would win if we grabbed the lead, thats why I was not thinking twice to shoot those two-pointers," said Sabellano.
