Gary V. magre-reinvent!

After 40 years, Star Magic artist na si Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.

At sa pagpasok niya sa Star Magic, isa sa handa niyang gawin, ang balikan ang acting.

Aniya, open ang door niya sa acting. “I don’t mind going back into acting a bit more, I don’t mind. My doors are open to it. Hindi ko sinasabi na tatanggap ako ng kung anu-ano but if the right project comes, I will certainly keep myself open to that,” sabi niya kahapon at if ever game siya sa idea ng sequel sa 1995 movie na Hataw Na.

“You know what, if we could come up with a part 2 of Hataw Na, ‘di ba ngayon ‘yung mga kabataan, grabe! It’s there are so many that can really move and they are moving not only because they want to but because they have to.”

So like you and Dayanara (Torres)?

“Yeah, if they can get her back here, kung pwede siyang umuwi, we can do part 2 when it’s like, you know, we have different lives na and all. But anyway, that can be something that we can work on,” paliwanag pa ni Mr. Pure Energy.

Pero, may iba rin naman siyang gustong gawin?

“Well, that’s one thing. I mean being able to act a little more. I think I’m more into being able to mentor, and not just mentor, but we spend time with young people, especially students, the student body, which is what I’ve been doing since 2018. Nakapunta na ako sa mga at least 58 universities, high schools, and colleges, wherein I only have about 150 students in front. It’s really intimate. I share my life; it’s all face-to-face. Malamang may mga iba ngayon na sa mga schools na pinuntahan ko na baka nanonood ngayon, and I will continue doing that. I have seen the impact not only on the faces of these young people but also on their hearts when you’re able to listen to them. Na hindi lang ako nagsasalita, I interact with them talaga. That’s another thing I want to do. Music: I do plan to continue, but I plan to do something else with my music. And maybe that’s the one na talagang makikita ng tao, ‘yung reinvention. Because that’s the sound, ‘di ba. Dun nasanay na ‘yung tao sa pagiging isang mang-aawit, manunulat ng kanta. That might change a bit in the months and maybe years to come. But it’s exciting.”

Kahapon nga ay isang bonggang pagsalubong ang inihanda ng Star Magic at full force ang mga executive ng ABS-CBN.

Marami ngang malungkot nang magkaroon ng announcement sa kanyang Pure Energy One Last Time concert na gaganapin sa April 26 and 27 na ngayon four nights niya. Yup, apat na gabi na ang nasabing concert.

Tho hindi open to the public ang isang gabi dun, binili ng isang company.

Pero sa totoo lang, sa nakalipas na four decades, hindi nagbago ang galaw ni Gary V.

Sa kabila ng various health challenges tulad ng type-1 diabetes, bypass surgery, at kidney cancer, nag-iisa si Gary V. bilang Mr. Pure Energy.

Na-accomplish pa niya kamakailan lang 100th concert sa Music Museum – noong October last year.

Pero malaking bagay ang support system niya, ang misis na si Angeli Pangilinan at mga anak na sina Paolo, Gab and Kiana at mga apo.
