Iloilo has three new schools

- May Joven -

CEBU, Philippines - Starting school year 2012, three new national high schools are added in the first district of Iloilo province.

This after the Senate committee on education, chaired by Senator Eduardo Angara, approved House Bills 1338, 1339, and 1340 seeking the separation and conversion of three high schools attached to the national high schools in Oton, Tigbauan and San Joaquin towns.

The House bills, authored by Rep. Janette Garin (1st dist., Iloilo), pushed for the urgent need for new national high schools in the province.

The three schools are the Cambitu National High School, Bagacay NHS and Bad-as NHS. These schools were once extension campuses of Oton NHS, Tigbauan NHS and Don Felix Serra NHS in San Joaquin town.  (FREEMAN)
