Ateneo Grade School football team nag-courtesy call kay Mayor Joy

MANILA, Philippines —  Nagtungo ang Ateneo Grade School football team  sa opisina ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte para sa isang courtesy call.

Ang nasabing tropa ang pambato ng Ateneo Grade School sa Palarong Pambansa at nagwagi sa National Capital Region divisional tournament kamakailan.

Ang koponan ang opisyal na kinatawan ng Quezon City sa National Capital Region (NCR) Divisional Meet at naipanalo nito ang lahat ng laban sa city level na ginanap noong Nobyembre 23 hanggang 24 sa Far Eastern Uni­versity (FEU) Diliman Football Field.

Kasalukuyang naghahanda grupo para sa NCR Regional Championship na idaraos sa susunod na buwan.

Hangad ng Ateneo Grade School team na manalo at maging kinatawan ng NCR sa Palarong Pambansa.

Sinabi ni Niall Enciso, ang Youth Football League (YFL) Season 2024 Most Valuable Player, na excited si­lang makilala si Mayor Belmonte at handa na silang lu­maban at at magbigay ng karangalan para sa Ateneo, sa kanilang magulang, sa komunidad at sa Quezon City.

“We’re all excited to meet her. We thank her for the re­cognition and we’re looking forward to making Ateneo, our parents, our community, and the city proud in the upcoming tournament,” wika ni Enciso.

Proud naman kay Enciso ang kanyang magulang.

“We’re proud of him and the team for the win. We watched how hard they all worked for this. But more than anything else, as parents, we just want him to have fun and have the best days with his teammates. We can’t wait to see more of the team and what magic they can do on the field,” ayon kay Alvin Enciso, ang ama ni Niall.

“To me, as a mom, of course, he’s really just my bun­so. But when I see him out on the field, that’s when it hits me, ‘Oh, he’s all grown up now and meeting the mayor already!’ We’re proud, very proud of how they dedicate their time to football. We’ll always support Niall here and the many other things he wants to achieve,” dagdag naman ni Astrid Enciso, ang ina ni Niall.

Ang team ay pinamumunuan ni team captain Sancho Bautista kasama sina Best Defender awardee Ryan Moti, Most Valuable Player at Golden Boot awardee Jacob Na­varro, Red Alminar, Miguel Tagarda, Jose Bernal, Zac Diaz, Daniel Guerrero, Migo Achas, Matt Diaz, Marcus Cuyugan, Altis Villaseñor, Miggy Pineda, Max Unson, Anton Landicho at Ram Tuazon.

Sina coaches Paul Madrona at Rafael Cruz naman ang gumagabay sa koponan.
