2 pekeng Vietnamese doctor timbog
MANILA, Philippines — Dinakip ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) ang dalawang Vietnamese na nagpanggap na mga doktor sa isinagawang entrapment operation sa Makati City.
Ayon kay CIDG chief PMGen. Nicolas Torre III, ang mga suspek na sina “Doc Ana” at “Le Thi” ay naaresto nitong Sabado sa loob ng Vera Beauty Clinic, Makati Tower 2, Yakal Street, Makati City.
Sa pinagsanib na puwersa ng CIDG Quezon City District Filed Unit at District Investigation Division ng Quezon City Police District huli sa akto ang mga suspek na nagsasagawa ng lip augmentation procedure nang walang lisensya o permit.
Ang mga suspek ay nagpapanggap na lisensyadong doktor at nagsasagawa ng mga aesthetic at medical procedure tulad ng lip fillers at ambulatory surgery.
Napag-alaman na ginagawa rin ng mga suspek ang pagrereseta ng mga gamot kahit walang lisensya mula sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) at Department of Health (DOH).
Nahaharap ang mga dayuhan sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 2382 o “The Medical Act of 1959”.
Pinuri naman ni Torre ang mga operating units sa matagumpay na operasyon.
“The State protects public health and ensures that only duly licensed professionals practice medicine in the country. The illegal practice of medicine poses a serious threat to public health and life of every patient. With their arrest, we significantly prevented crimes and possible serious health problems,” dagdag pa ni Torre.
