57 pugante nadakip ng CIDG

MANILA, Philippines — Alinsunod sa kautusan ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil na paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa kriminalidad, nasa 57 pugante at wanted person ang nadakip ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Ayon  kay  CIDG chief PMGen. Nicolas Torre III, mula Mayo 9 hanggang sa bisperas ng eleksiyon, Mayo 11, nasakote ng CIDG ang 57 fugitives at wanted persons  sa buong bansa.

Nabatid na ang 33 sa Luzon, walo sa Visayas at 16 sa Mindanao ay dinakip sa bisa ng Warrants of Arrest sa kasong Murder, Attempted Murder, Rape, Sexual Assault, Qualified Theft, Estafa, Illegal Recruitment, and violation of Special Laws- RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002); at RA 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009).

Pinuri naman ni Marbil ang operasyon ng CIDG upang mapanatili ang peace and order sa bansa.
