Higit 200K trabaho, alok ng DOLE ngayong Labor Day
MANILA, Philippines — Aabot sa mahigit 200,000 trabaho ang alok ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa kanilang job fair ngayong Mayo 1, Labor Day.
Ayon sa DOLE, mula sa 216,144 trabaho na available sa naturang job fairs ngayong taon, mahigit sa 34,000 ang overseas jobs.
May 69 sites para sa job fair nationwide, 14 dito ang nasa National Capital Region (NCR) na mag-aalok ng 63,000 trabaho.
Anang DOLE, sinimulan nila ang pagdaraos ng mga job fairs kamakalawa at magpapatuloy ng Abril 30, gayundin ngayong May 1 at 2. Ang SMX Convention Center aniya ang magiging pangunahing venue ng job fair habang karamihan nito ay sa mga malls.
Sa Quezon City, nasa 1,000 trabaho rin ang kanilang alok ngayong Labor Day. Ang taunang Labor Day Job Fair ay sa QC M.I.C.E. Center sa City Hall mula alas-9:00 ng umaga hanggang 4:00 ng hapon ngayong araw na lalahukan ng 100 pribadong kompanya at tanggapan ng pamahalaan.

Magkakaroon naman ng one-stop shop para sa government services na itatayo ang lokal na pamahalaan para mapadali ang pagkuha ng requirements para sa trabaho.
Kabilang sa mga major employers na sasali sa job fair ngayong taon ang Abacus Book & Card Corporation (National Bookstore), Andok’s Litson Corporation, Asia Brewery, Inc., Global Officium Limited, Inc. (Hotel SOGO), Max’s Kitchen, Inc., JAC Liner Company, Robinsons Supermarket Corporation, Sanford Marketing Corporation (Savemore Market), Savory Fastfood Inc. (Classic Savory), Super Shopping Market, Inc. (SM Hypermarket), Super Value, Inc. (SM Supermarket), Solaire Resort North, UnionBank, at Zest-O Corporation, at iba pa.
Kabilang sa mga posisyon na maaaring aplayan ay ang customer service representatives, office staff, cashiers, drivers, service crew, sales associates, merchandisers, electricians, encoders, at kitchen staff, at iba pa.
