Hindi literal na na-offend, pero nasaktan daw ang ibang mga juror sa dialogue ni Vice Ganda nang tanggapin niya ang Special Jury Citation sa Gabi Ng Parangal ng Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 noong isang gabi para sa pelikula niyang And the Breadwinner Is....

Dialogue niya kasi nang tawagin ng presenter that night na sina Lorna Tolentino and Dennis Trillo na hindi niya alam kung anong award ‘yung natanggap niya.

Pero ‘yun pala, meron talagang artcard na babanggitin ni Dennis ang kahulugan ng nasabing award ni Vice na originally pala ay si Lorna T ang magbabasa pero naibigay ang artcard kay Dennis.

Pero totoo bang ang theater owners ang nag-request na bigyan siya ng special citation dahil ang pelikulang And the Breadwinner Is... ang number 1 sa 10 official entries?

Diumano’y inilaban ito ng theater owners kaya medyo na-delay pa ang deliberation ng jurors noong Biyernes ng umaga.

Trending kahapon sina Vice Ganda and Eugene Domingo ganundin ang MMFF Spokesperson na si Noel Ferrer na naglabas ng statement tungkol sa mga nagpoprotesta sa naging resulta ng Gabi Ng Parangal. Idiniin ni Noel na walang naganap na “cooking show show” o lutuan sa awards night.

Bukod kay Aga Muhlach, hindi rin nominado for Best Actress si Julia Barretto ng pelikulang Hold Me Close.

Ganundin si Direk Dan Villegas, direktor ng Uninvited, gayundin si Jun Lana for And The Breadwinner Is…

Walang nakuhang award ang Uninvited maliban sa Best Float, ka-tie pa ang Topakk habang ang Hold Me Close ay zero as in wala at all at kahit sa Best Float ay hindi ito nominated.

Ginawa ring isyu sa Gabi ng Parangal ang hindi pagka­panalo ni Zig Dulay bilang Best Director gayung Green Bones ang Best Picture at nag-uwi ng maraming award.

Anyway, gabi ng Green Bones ang 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal sa Solaire Resort & Casino nitong Biyernes.
