PH BEST tankers kumana ng 6 golds sa Junior Nationals

MANILA, Philippines — Nagparamdam ng puwersa ang Philippines Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (PH BEST) matapos sumisid ng anim na ginto, 12 pilak at pitong tansong medalya sa 2025 Junior National Championships na ginanap sa Rizal Memorial Swimming Pool sa Malate, Manila.

Nangibabaw sa matikas na ratsada ng PH BEST si Filipino-British Hannah White na humakot ng dalawang ginto at tatlong pilak na medalya sa girls’ 13-year division.

Inilatag ni White ang matikas na porma nito upang pagreynahan ang 100m butterfly sa bilis na 1:07.34 habang namayagpag din ito sa 50m butterfly bunsod ng naitala nitong 30.03 segundo.

Umani pa ito ng tatlong pilak na medalya sa 100m freestyle (1:03.19, 400m freestyle (4:58.68) at 50m freestyle (28.50).

“I am happy about the progress our swimmers that they made at the national tryouts. Their improved times are a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our coaching staff,” ani PH BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh.

 Nagparamdam din ng lakas si Ana David nang humakot ito ng dalawang ginto, anim na pilak at isang tanso sa girls’ 15-year class.

Nanguna si David sa 200m freestyle (2:12.25) at 200m breaststroke (2:47.66) habang puma­nga­lawa ito sa 400m freestyle (4:48.01), 200m butterfly (1:06.83), 50m freestyle (28.32), 200m IM (2:30.46), 100m freestyle (1:00.72) at 50m butterfly (30.39), at pumangatlo sa 200m butterfly (2:31.58).

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Yugo Cabana na may dalawang ginto at tatlong tanso sa boys’ 15-year ca­tegory kung saan nangibabaw ito sa 200m butterfly (2:13.30) at 100m butterfly (59.15).

May tanso naman ito sa 100m freestyle (55.68), 50m butterfly (27.24) at 200m IM (2:19.55).

 Nagparamdam din ng lakas si Palarong Pambansa qualifier Behrouz Mohammad ‘Madi’ Mojdeh na nakahirit ng tatlong pilak at isang tanso sa boys’ 14-year class.

Pumangalawa ang Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque standout sa 200m butterfly (2:16.60), 400m IM (4:58.58) at 100m breaststroke (1:13.30) habang may tanso ito sa 200m breaststroke (2:41.03).

Nag-ambag ng dala­wang tanso si Annika Quinto sa girls’ 14-year 50m backstroke (34.14) at 100m backstroke (1:12.74).
