MANILA, Philippines — Maningning na uuwi ng bansa si World Junior Championship veteran Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh tangan ang dalawang pilak na medalyang napanalunan sa 46th Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships sa Bangkok, Thailand.
Nagpasiklab pa sa final day si Mojdeh nang umani pa ng pilak sa girls’ 16-18 200m butterfly sa itinalang 02:21.43.
Nanguna si Thi Thuy Trang Le ng Vietnam na may 2:18.55, habang pumangatlo si Thitirat Charoensup ng Thailand na may 2:26.22.
Nauna nang humirit ng pilak na medalya ang Behrouz Elite Swimming Team standout sa 100m butterfly event kung saan naisumite nito ang 01:3.40 segundo.
“I am happy to have won at least two silver medals for the Philippine team. I am however not in my best condition. My times were a bit high from my personal best times,” ani Mojdeh na World Cup Singapore Leg finalist.
Nagpasalamat si Mojdeh sa mga coaches nito gayundin sa magulang nitong sina Joan at Modj sa patuloy na pagsuporta sa kaniya.
“Still I am grateful to my coaches who were very patient with me in training. To coach Sherwyn, coach Jek, coach Roxanne and coach Jeremiah. To my mom and dad who wakes up early to bring me to training. Thank you so much. To all my teammates who makes training more fun,” dagdag ni Mojdeh.
