A watch is a fashion must-have. For some people, it is their single most important fashion accessory. There are times when the watch defines the person wearing it.
The Opus in Resorts World was the venue for the launch of the latest product from Audemars Piguet — the highly anticipated Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph in its new bold size of 44mm.
Bianca Valerio was the night’s host. An exotic rhythmic dance number was presented to unveil the collection for the first time in Asia. The party kicked off with the performances of pianist Angelo Ortiz with DJ Bing Reyes. Guests enjoyed an overflow of “ROO-Mojito” or the refreshing 44mm mocktails.
Bigger and bolder than its predecessors, the Royal Oak Offshore 44mm collection features three large-sized pieces, each pairing ceramic with other distinct materials. Audemars Piguet Asia managing director Oliviero Bottinelli said, “The Philippines is a nation of Offshore lovers. Audemars Piguet may be well regarded as a brand with high technical horology offerings, but at the same time, the Royal Oak Offshore collection has continued to enthrall watch connoisseurs. We hope to bring forth the latest Royal Oak Offshore collection to the Philippines and we are delighted to unveil this collection with Lucerne first in Asia.”
(The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 44mm collection is available at Lucerne, Edsa Shangri-La or at the Audemars Piguet Boutique in Greenbelt 5.)
A techie treat
It was another fun party that Dell Philippines gave to its top 50 customers during the “Leadership in the Virtual Era” event at The Lounge in Seventh High, Bonifacio High Street, Global City, Taguig. The VIPs in attendance were serenaded by Princess Velasco. In this party hosted by Cai Subijano, guests were also informed of the new Virtualization Technology from Dell.
Virtualization allows one to run multiple applications and operating systems independently on a single server. It is more economical to use because running more apps in one server means less hardware to purchase and less power consumption.
Dell Philippines president Richard Teo and country manager for commercial businesses Ricky Lopez attended the event. Lopez highlighted how Dell Philippines made it a mission to help businesses to achieve greater success by using information technology. Intel Philippines business development manager Christopher Syling also gave some talk about the technology.
The company also raffled off some prizes to lucky guests.
