Jeepney passengers complain over rerouting

NO WARNING. Many passengers howled in protest over the impromptu rerouting of jeepneys implemented recently. An Ear informer was onboard a 13C jeepney Wednesday afternoon last week. When the jeepney reached the university in Colon St., the jeepney made a right turn to D. Jakosalem St. All the passengers were made to disembark. The jeepney driver said, “O, diri ra ta kutob ha kay dakop na sa unahan.” The passengers were all caught by surprise. Many said, “Hala, ngano diay? Unsa diay nahitabo?”

EXPERIMENTING THE PUBLIC. A traffic enforcer told some of the disembarking passengers, “Experimental rerouting ni ma’am para mamenosan ang trapik.” A middle-aged woman answered, “Unya, ga tuga-tuga lang mo og reroute, dili gani mo mo-inform sa publiko. Eksperimentohan lang ninyo ang katawhan. Dili baya lalim.” The traffic enforcer could only scratch his head.
