Deeper probe ongoing on 2 shabu shipments in Central Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine how two large shipments of shabu ended up in Central Luzon this week.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, said she is coordinating with other law enforcement agencies to identify people behind the shipment of the 101 kilos and 30 kilos of shabu that were recently seized in Pampanga and Bulacan, respectively.
On Wednesday, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized shabu with an estimated street value of P686.6 million from a Chinese national and his Filipino companion in Angeles, Pampanga.
The following day, another shabu shipment with an estimated street value of P204 million was seized from three drug suspects in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Fajardo expressed alarm over the seizure of the illegal drugs, which occurred within two consecutive days.
