MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated value of P686.6 million was seized from a Chinese and his Filipino companion in an anti-narcotics operation in Angeles, Pampanga yesterday.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and members of the Angeles police arrested the suspects, identified only as Wang, 31, and Shania, 24.

Reports said the suspects were collared after they sold an undetermined amount of shabu to police undercover agents along Friendship Highway in Barangay Sto. Domingo.

Police said they found 96 tea bags and five transparent plastic bags containing shabu in the suspects’ vehicle.

Wang and Shania will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
