P15.2-million marijuana seized in Kalinga

MANILA, Philippines — Marijuana plants, valued at P15.2 million, were destroyed following a raid on a plantation in Tinglayan, Kalinga on Saturday.
Col. Rolando Cuya Jr., Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group director, said PDEG operatives found the marijuana farm in Barangay Butbut Proper.
Cuya said at least 76,000 marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed at the plantation, which has a land area of 7,600 square meters.
