P7.6 million Ecstasy tablets seized in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT , Philippines — Up to 4,491 tablets of party drug Ecstasy worth P7.6 million were seized by anti-narcotics agents in Pampanga on Wednesday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the tablets were shipped from Belgium and arrived at the Port of Clark on March 29.

Jigger Montallana, PDEA-Central Luzon director, said the PDEA. International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service informed his office that a suspicious parcel from Belgium would arrive at the port.

An inspection of the parcel conducted by personnel of the PDEA, Bureau of Customs, National Bureau of Investigation and local police  resulted in the discovery of the illegal substance.
