Police bust criminal group in Central Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — With the arrest of its leader and three members, the Pascual criminal group involved in drug trafficking, motorcycle theft, cigarette smuggling and a string of robbery-holdups across Tarlac is busted, the Central Luzon police said yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, identified those arrested by the aliases Romnick, Abel, Rocco and Sam.
The group leader, Romnick, was arrested after selling a caliber .45 pistol to police. The three others were nabbed during a drug sting in Barangay San Agustin, Concepcion, Tarlac on Saturday.
Fajardo said Romnick has a warrant of arrest for theft issued by a municipal court in Tarlac City.
Police seized firearms, bullets and bladed weapons from the four who are detained at the Talusan police station.
