Marcos signs laws creating new schools in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has signed laws establishing senior high and elementary schools in Bacoor, Cavite.

Republic Act 12007 mandates the establishment of the “Progressive Senior High School” in Progressive Village 3 in Barangay Bayanan, while RA 12008 of the “Progressive Elementary School” in Barangay Molino 2.

RA 12007 and 12008 were signed by the President on June 13.

The new schools will be under the supervision of the Department of Education.

The DepEd has been ordered to immediately include in its program the operation of the newly created schools.

It was also directed to formulate the implementing rules and regulations of the newly signed laws within 90 days from approval.

The laws will take effect 15 days after their publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
