MANILA, Philippines — The seven-day positivity rate for COVID in the National Capital Region increased to 3.2 percent as of March 18, independent monitoring group OCTA reported yesterday.

OCTA Research fellow Guido David said Metro Manila’s positivity rate in the previous week was lower at 2.2 percent.

The positivity rates in the region and other provinces remained low at less than 5 percent, David said.

These provinces include Batangas, 1.7 percent; Bulacan, 1.3 percent; Cavite, 3.5 percent; Cebu, 2.7 percent; Iloilo, 1.2 percent; Laguna, 1.7 percent; Negros Occidental, 1.4 percent; Pampanga, 2 percent, and Pangasinan, 2.5 percent.
