Signal no.1 up in Catanduanes, CamSur

The weather disturbance is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday.

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday raised public storm signal no. 1 in Catanduanes and Camarines Sur due typhoon "Chedeng."

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the state-run weather bureau said Chedeng has slightly weakened as it moved toward the eastern coast of central and northern Luzon. 

It was spotted 700 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or at 950 km. east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora, with a maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 180 kilometers per hour, PAGASA said.  

Chedeng is estimated to make landfall over the coast of Aurora-Isabela area by Sunday morning, April 5, will exit via Ilocos Sur by evening. 

The weather disturbance is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday morning, April 6.
