BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – The 13 policemen assigned at the Community Police Assistance Center at the Bacolod Government Center (BGC), where a jogger was allegedly raped last Friday, have been relieved from their posts.
Senior Police Officer 3 Arlyn Torrendon, officer-in-charge of the Women and Children’s Protection Desk of the Bacolod City police, said the 20-year-old victim and her companions were jogging around the government complex when she decided to go to the toilet at the annex building at around 9 p.m.
Charlie Ramos, 27, a mechanic of a motor shop near the BGC, allegedly followed the victim and raped her in the toilet.
Ramos was arrested when two minors who heard the victim crying for help called the Community Police Assistance Center.
