LAGUNA, Philippines – The fire marshals of the cities of Calamba, Dasmariñas and Lucena have been relieved of their posts for allegedly failing to stop the wrongdoings of their men.
Chief Superintendent Nimfa Cuartel, Calabarzon director of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), said she has also ordered an investigation if other building owners have complained, too, about unlawful activities of BFP inspection teams.
Cuartel said other fire marshals are expected to be affected by the ongoing revamp.
Removed from their posts were fire marshals Chief Inspector Gerandie Agonos (Calamba, Laguna), Senior Inspector Allan Sison (Dasmariñas, Cavite), and Senior Inspector Joel Reyes (Lucena, Quezon).
