MANILA, Philippines - One of the three men whose bodies were found in a pile of garbage in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City Wednesday has been identified.
Marilou Tan identified the body of her missing husband, Refugio, at the morgue. She said her husband, a bank messenger, went to work Tuesday and has not returned since. She said she saw one of her husband’s shoes beside one of the bodies shown on the morning news Wednesday.
Inspector Elmer Monsalve, who heads the Quezon City Police District’s homicide investigation section, said they are conducting a background check on Refugio since “there could be other details” about him that Marilou “might be unaware of.”
Monsalve said they were still waiting for the two other bodies found along with that of Tan to be identified. All three men were hogtied, their heads wrapped with packing tape and their bodies riddled with puncture and stab wounds.
