A teenager died after he was hit by a bullet from a pen gun in Quezon City Wednesday night.
The Quezon City police identified the victim as Ralph Ronald Mamot, 16, a resident of Barangay Holy Spirit.
The police arrested yesterday morning a 14-year-old boy, a resident of the same village, after the pen gun that killed Mamot was traced to him.
Quezon City Police District Station 6 chief Superintendent Constante Agpaoa said the incident happened as the two boys were about to have dinner at the victim’s house and the one holding the gun put it under the table.
“The other boy might have accidentally squeezed the trigger,”Agpaoa said.
According to a blotter report, Mamot’s family heard the sound of a gunshot and found Mamot slumped on the floor. They brought the victim to the General Malvar Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. – Reinir Padua
