Learn real ways to work from home

Are you unhappy with your office job? Are you fed up with the daily tiring commute to and from your workplace? Do you want to discover how to earn a living -- specifically from running an online store -- right in the comfort of your own home? Or maybe you're handling multiple tasks or jobs now, but don't know how to cope? Are you juggling different projects and want to learn how to manage?

If your answer to any or all of the above questions is yes, then you might want to attend the Real Ways to be a WAHM workshop on April 5, 2014, organized by the dynamic team behind Manila Workshops. Topics to be discussed are "How to Run an Online Store" and "How to Manage Multiple Projects."

Below are more details:

Venue: 12th Floor, Insular Life Building Makati, Ayala Corner Paseo De Roxas, Makati City (the building has a Starbucks store in the ground floor).

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. (Registration will start at 9:30AM and there will also be time for networking after the session between 4:30-5:00 PM.)

Here is some information about the speakers:

Joy Gurtiza

Joy has been working at home for more than 10 years. She’s a blogger, a food photographer, a book author, and an online marketing consultant for a technology provider for florist retailers based in California.

Joy has actually been dubbed a 'WordPress superstar' because she has set up tons of WordPress and membership sites for her Canadian employer. She also helps her Canadian employer to run his business, by taking care of his other employees and freelancers from around the world.

As an entrepreneur, Joy also set up a small inbound and outbound call center for clients from New Mexico and Florida in 2005 to 2009. While running a call center at night, she operated an English school during the day.

Joy considers herself a master of trial and error -- from managing a small call center operation to getting people enrolled in her English school; acquiring a franchise in food business to operating a photo booth for local events in Manila. While not all of these were profitable, she thinks it was all worth the shot.

Joy can be found blogging about her food recipes and awesome food photography at joybites.com, or ranting about daily life at joygurtiza.com.

Ginger P. Arboleda

Ginger graduated with a Masteral of Arts in Communications Major in Integrated Marketing Communications. She gained project management experience from being an account executive for two of the top Advertising Agencies in the country. She also worked as a Managing Director for her family’s food franchise.

Ginger’s longest work experience was with one of the top universal banks in the Philippines as a product manager. Now, she is a mompreneur involved in handling 4 different businesses: Manila Workshops (events management company), Kooky Loopy (baby clothing business), Steps Project (advocacy) and Memory Crafters (craft box subscription business).

Ginger is also a professional blogger for Manila Reviews and Mommy Ginger, and also does Business Coaching on the side. Above all these, she is a devoted wife to her husband, EJ, and doting mom to Zeeka.

EJ Arboleda

EJ is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Wunderman Manila, an advertising company specializing in creating innovative technological marketing solutions for customers. He has been in the IT industry for 13 years, with extensive experience in both Service Management and Project Management. Before Wunderman, EJ was a Service Delivery Manager in Hewlett-Packard Asia Pac Ltd, primarily working on SAP. Despite the demands of his work, he rushes home every day to see his loving wife, Ginger, and their adorable baby, Zeeka.
