What a wonderful world

It’s when I see young artists such as the talented Karen Cu-Unjieng-Concepcion that I realize there is hope yet for the future of Filipino art. The radiant and creative Karen, a fine arts graduate of the University of the Philippines, recently had a show entitled "Two Worlds" with her friend Stella Rojas.

Held at the well-known Le Souffle at The Fort, the exhibit opening was a gathering of fresh faces, budding artists and supportive friends and relatives. Karen’s paintings of flowers, horses and children were rendered in a thought-provoking interplay of colors, lines and sinuous shapes. Sharing in Karen’s successes were her guests, mother Amy Cu-Unjieng, brother Mark, in-laws Ronnie and Menchu Concepcion, Karen’s husband Ton, kids Isabel, Mykie and Carina and socialite Ching Montinola.

Congratulations and keep us inspired!
Bonding Two Souls Together
Congratulations and best wishes for a long, happy life to Charles Bernard Reyes and Katrina Chavez, who were recently married at the Santuario de San Antonio church in Forbes Park.

Katrina Chavez, daughter of former Solicitor General Frank Chavez and Jean Chavez, was radiantly beautiful in her silky white wedding gown as she walked down the aisle where dashing Charles Bernard Reyes, son of Camilo and Agnes Reyes, awaited her. The smiling guests, close family and friends, were dressed in their formal best as they witnessed wedding vows being exchanged and the newly wedded couple starting on the path of their new life together.

The Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri La Hotel was the site of the wedding’s reception. Here, as the sumptuous food was served, everyone made merry as they celebrated the lovely couple’s union.

Charles and Katrina, may your union be blessed!
