MANILA, Philippines - Filipino-American chef Khristianne Uy this week won the top prize in the new ABC cooking tilt, "The Taste."

Uy's father is a police captain in the Philippines.

She beat out three other contestants - Sarah Schiear, Diane DiMeo and Gregg Drusinsky - to take home the $100,000 cash prize and a new car.

The LA-based Uy is the personal chef of actor Charlie Sheen. She has also worked for American Idol creator Simon Fuller, director James Cameron and the royal family of Saudi Arabia.

The cooking competition's initial season had culinary superstars Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey as mentors to the contestants. Restaurateur Malarkey served as Uy's mentor.
