MANILA, Philippines — The French food festival "Goût de France" (Taste of France) is taking place once more in Makati this month.

"Goût de France" is returning to Makati Street Meet along Paseo de Roxas Avenue for the last weekend of May, the 24th and 25th.

French chefs, restaurateurs, distributors, and retailers are expected to put their products on display for the public.

A free cooking demo by Chef Marc Chalopin of Enderun Colleges École Ducasse and a performance by DJ JB Bolaños are program highlights of the first day.

At 3 p.m. of the 25th, the festival will host the "Course des garçons de café" or Waiter's Race, where servers will compete in bringing over a bottle of cold water without spilling.

The celebration continues the following week as French bistros and restaurant offer special French menus.
