MANILA, Philippines — Alessandra Ysabelle Eugenio of Bagong Ilog bested 17 other hopefuls to be crowned as Pasig City's official representative to the 2025 edition of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

The svelte stunner was practically a shoo-in after being proclaimed as Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown halfway through the coronation night held Saturday, February 1, at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City.

She was also named Miss Medskin, Miss Mestiza Soap, and one of two recipients of the Artist Choice Awards. Alessandra took home P250,000 in cash, apart from other corporate prizes in cash and kind.

Allysandrea Denise Tan of Pinagbuhatan was the other hopeful standing with Miss Bagong Ilog prior to the big reveal. She won as 1st runner-up, as well as being awarded Miss Popularity and Darling of the Press, and took home P125,000 as cash prize.

Sophia Gella Catoc of Maybunga was proclaimed 2nd runner-up, while Princila Keith Cuevas of San Miguel (the first of two Miss Diligence awardees) and Anthonet Faith Bernardo of Oranbo (who was named Ms. Saint Gerrard, Miss Beauty Queen ambassador, and the other Miss Diligence awardee) were named 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively. The ladies received P100,000, P75,000, and P50,000, respectivley.

The other ladies who made it to the Top 10 were the delegates from Kapitolyo, Manggahan, Caniogan, Dela Paz (Ms. Smilee), and Santolan (the other Artist Choice awardee). The other special award recipients were San Antonio (Ms. Wuling) and Palatiw (Miss Congeniality, who was voted by her co-candidates).

"Miss Universe Philippines-Pasig is more than just a competition. It is a celebration of beauty in its many forms. This show is all about empowering women," said city director Cezarah Discaya in her welcome address.

The selection committee was composed of Atty. Christian Sia, Cong. Richelle Singson, runway coach Ian Mendajar, Dr. Joseph Songco, Jhe Dagar, actor-councilor Ara Mina, Maynard Sabili, and Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 winner Shamsey Supsup-Lee as chairman.

"This pageant is an opportunity for Pasigueñas to really shine. To all the delegates, you have my love. We are changing lives. It takes a city to support our wonderful queens," said Supsup-Lee, who is also the national director of Miss Universe Philippines.

Hosted by Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa and Jasper Tiongson, with entertainment number from Mister Supranational Philippines 2023 Johannes Rissler, the Miss Universe Pasig 2025 coronation night was streamed through its channel on Facebook from the Metro Tent Convention Center inside the sprawling Metrowalk Commercial Complex.
