MANILA, Philippines — Two weather systems may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains to some parts of the Philippines on Sunday, February 2, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan," may affect the extreme northern Luzon, while the easterlies may affect the rest of the country.

Due to the easterlies, Caraga and the Davao Region may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the easterlies.

The state weather bureau has warned residents in these areas about the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Batanes may expect cloudy skies with light rains due to the amihan.

Coastal waters in Northern Luzon will range from moderate to rough, while the rest of the country will experience slight to moderate conditions.
