Alleged shabu lab in Catanduanes secured by PNP, Army

VIRAC, Philippines (Bicol Standard) – An alleged shabu laboratory disguised as a warehouse at Barangay Palta in Virac, Catanduanes was subject of a special operation for verification and assessment earlier on Saturday.

Said warehouse was leased to a certain Jason Gonzales Uy.

Found during the operation were a hydrogenator, weighing scale, various glasswares, and motorized mixing apparatus and chemicals.

The inspecting team was composed of the police, Mayor Samuel Laynes and Angelica Balmadrid.

As of this writing, said area has already been secured by the police and the Philippine Army.

Meanwhile, at 3:41 p.m., Police Chief Inspector James Ronatay, Virac Chief of Police, told the Bicol Standard that he could not give any additional details yet as they have just applied for a search warrant to cover the area where they intend to conduct a thorough investigation.
