MANILA, Philippines – The future of the young starts here as Go Negosyo, an advocacy initiated by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), will hold its second Youth Entrepreneurship Summit tomorrow at the World Trade Center in Pasay City to promote entrepreneurial success among the Filipino youth.
With the theme Tagumpay ang Kabataan! Go Negosyo, the summit will bring in a network of entrepreneurs to conduct mentoring sessions and forums on the basics of putting up a business and will showcase possible business models that participants might want to look into, such as spotting the right opportunities, marketing, financing, product development, and innovation.
Speakers include Francis Kong, Anton Diaz, Dean Pax Lapid, Chris Tiu, Ray Gapuz, Ed Pilapil, Carlo Ople, Alvin Tan, Carlo Guerrero, and Benedict Carandang. Government leaders will also be sharing their views on the need for entrepreneurship development in the country. The one-day expo will showcase small and medium enterprises (SME), as well as the more established companies, to offer one-of-a-kind products, including fashion apparel/ accessories, food and beverages, beauty and wellness, among many others, all with the aim of making it the right venue to spot the right business opportunities.
The event is open to all, even the not-so-young, as PCE – a non-stock, non-profit organization headed by founding trustee Joey Concepcion –sees this as another opportunity to instill among Filipinos an entrepreneurial culture to battle the problems of unemployment and poverty.
Also, through this effort, PCE seeks to be the institution that brings together all key stakeholders and enablers of different entrepreneurship programs. Interested exhibitors and participants may call (02) 637-9229 and look for Ina Reyes or PJ Gesta.
