MANILA, Philippines - As part of ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) month-long 20th anniversary celebration, the show puts the spotlight tonight on a love story that knows no boundaries.
Rio Locsin will breathe life to the character of Anita, a woman who came from a failed relationship who fell in love with Hideo (Ya Chang), a Japanese man. Hideo, despite being Japanese is passionate about Filipino culture particularly the Filipino language and music. His son, however, thinks of Filipino women as nothing more than gold-diggers. When Hideo’s son challenges Anita’s love for his father, Anita’s perfect love story goes upside down.
How can a woman prove her love when she is up against his own husband’s son? How can a relationship transcend culture and belief? What will the cost of understanding be?
Written by Maan Dimaculangan and directed by Nuel Naval, Japan episode also features Desiree del Valle and Neri Naig.
MMK airs Saturday nights after Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition.
