CEBU, Philippines - An alleged big-time drug pusher in Lapu-Lapu City was arrested Friday evening in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City by the police after a week of surveillance.
Lapu-Lapu City police chief Supt. Mariano Natuel identified the suspect as Rolly Villanueva Lumapas, who lived in a rented room in sitio Humay-Humay, barangay Pajo.
The police were stoned by residents during the arrest but no one was reported hurt.
Shabu and the P500 marked money were seized from Lumapas.
Police also seized cocaine with a street value of P35,000. It is presumed to have come from Borongan, Samar. Police also seized a .45 caliber pistol and seven bullets.
Lumapas is presently detained at the Lapu-Lapu City jail pending the filing of formal charges against him in court. (THE FREEMAN)
