CEBU, Philippines - Three alleged members of the Akyat-Bahay gang, including a 17-year-old boy, were arrested by the members of the miscellaneous team of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office last Friday night for gun and illegal drug possession.
PO3 Ranilo Valiente of the station 3 of the Lapu-Lapu City police identified the suspects as George delos Santos, 19, Raymund Paran, 21, and a 17-year old boy, all residents of barangay Calawisan.
The three gang members, known for their nefarious activities, were arrested for violation of the Comelec gun ban, illegal possession of firearms, and possession of illegal drugs.
Last Friday night, the police were tipped off about three armed gang members along barangay Pajo near the waiting shade of the Philippine National Bank (PNB)-Pajo Branch.
The police found a .38 revolver pistol tucked on the waist of the 17-year old boy.
Seized from Delos Santos and Paran were sticks of marijuana. The suspects are temporarily detained while charges are being prepared. (THE FREEMAN)
