CIDG-7 motorcycle stolen while parked outside office

Not even the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 headquarters is safe and free from a determined thief.

This was the harsh reality that the CIDG-7 had to face as it reported to the nearby office of the Theft and Robbery Section that its service motorcycle, parked outside its office, was stolen.

The stolen motorcycle was a blue Honda which was undergoing tune-up and conditioning, said SPO3 Joseph Montesclaros of CIDG-7.

He said the motorcycle was issued to the office only recently and he was the one assigned to have its engine conditioned.

Montesclaros reported the loss only last Saturday but said the incident actually took place either April 2 or 3.

There were initial suspicions that somebody from his unit might have used it without returning it anymore or deliberately stole it from where it was parked.

Montesclaros said that whoever got or used the motorcycle had no permission from him, and this prompted him to have the matter recorded in the TRS blotter.
