CEBU, Philippines — Capitalizing on Cebu’s thriving tourism sector, Dusit International is set to expand its hospitality footprint in the province with the launch of ASAI Oslob, the first ASAI Hotel property in the Philippines.
Scheduled to open in 2026, the project is a partnership with Cebu-based developer Grand Land Inc., bringing a branded lifestyle hotel to the scenic southern Cebu municipality of Oslob.
ASAI Oslob will cater to the growing demand for branded accommodations in countryside destinations, said Siradej Donavanik, Vice President – Development Global and Head of Culture at ASAI Hotels.
“At ASAI, we aim to create spaces that inspire connection, culture, and unforgettable moments,” said Donavanik adding that “Each hotel is carefully designed to reflect the fabric of its neighborhood and appeal to today’s travelers who seek authentic local experiences and brands with value-driven credentials.”
Situated along Oslob’s coastline, ASAI Oslob will provide guests with easy access to the town’s renowned natural attractions. Tourists can enjoy whale shark watching, marvel at the Tumalog Falls, experience monkey-watching adventures, or visit the Turtle Sanctuary.
The hotel is also near Sumilon Island, Cebu’s first marine sanctuary, famous for its crystal-clear waters and diverse marine life.
ASAI Oslob will also serve as a gateway to neighboring adventure destinations, including Boljoon – Home to a centuries-old heritage church; Badian – A top spot for canyoneering adventures; Moalboal – Famous for the sardine run, and scuba and free diving sites.
The 98-room ASAI Oslob promises to prioritize functionality and comfort with plush beds, rain showers, USB-equipped workstations, and premium amenities.
Recognizing the rise of digital nomads, ASAI Oslob will include a coworking lounge, offering a space for remote workers while immersing them in locally inspired dining experiences that showcase the best of Cebuano cuisine.
Dusit International entered Cebu with the establishment of its 300-room Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu resort in partnership with the Robinsons Land Corporation.
ASAI Oslob kicks off Dusit International’s debut of its ASAI brand in the Philippines, extending its presence beyond Metro Cebu. This expansion highlights the company’s dedication to sustainable and experiential tourism.
Developed by Grand Land Inc., a subsidiary of the Gaisano Grand Group of Companies, the project seamlessly integrates Dusit’s global hospitality expertise with Cebu’s rich cultural heritage.
Recently, officials from Dusit International and Grand Land Inc. gathered in Oslob, Cebu to break ground on the hotel, led by Grand Land President Ryan Bernard Go, Gaisano Grand Group Executive Vice President Genevieve Gaisano, and Oslob Mayor Ronald Guaren.
With the launch of ASAI Oslob, Cebu, Dusit International is set to redefine lifestyle hospitality in Cebu countryside destinations, offering travelers a blend of modern comforts, local authenticity, and sustainable tourism practices in one of the country’s most picturesque coastal destinations.
