MANILA, Philippines — Mamanduhan ni Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ang ratsada ng national junior swimming team sa 46th Southeast Asian Age Group Championships na tatakbo mula Disyembre 6 hanggang 8 sa Bangkok, Thailand.

Sariwa pa si Mojdeh sa matagumpay na kampan­ya sa 2024 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup na ginanap sa South Korea at Singapore.

Nakaabot sa finals si Mojdeh sa women’s 200m butterfly kung saan nagtala ito ng dalawang minuto at 16.58 segundo sa second leg ng World Cup sa Singapore.

Maliban sa World Cup, nasilayan na rin ito ng dalawang beses sa World Juniors Championships kabilang na ang pag-entra nito sa semifinals noong 2022 edisyon sa Lima, Peru.

Bukod pa rito ang hindi mabilang na gintong medalyang napanalunan ng 18-anyos na si Mojdeh sa iba’t ibang international competitions.

“It’s going to be my last tournament for the season and we’re hoping to end the year on a high note. We’re training so hard to make sure that we’re in perfect condition before going to Thailand,” ani Mojdeh na pambato ng Behrouz Elite Swimming Team.

Sa kabilang banda, malalim na rin ang karanasan ni Ajido sa international tournaments.

Nakasungkit ito ng gintong medalya sa 11th Asian Age Group Championships na ginanap sa New Clark City Aquatics Center sa Capas, Tarlac.

Makakasama ni Mojdeh sa girls’ division sina Sha­nia Joy Baraquiel, So­phia Garra, Riannah C­hantelle Coleman, Maxene Uy at Liv Abigail Florendo.

Pasok naman sa boys’ division sina Jan Mikos Trinidad, Peter Dean, Jaydison Dacuycuy at Ivo Enot.

Napili ang 12 tankers sa SEA Age Group matapos ang isinagawang qualifying tournament ng Philippine Aquatics Inc. (PAI) kamaikailan.
