Enrolment going on for agribiz courses

Manila, Philippines - MFI Farm Business Institute (MFI-FBI) is now accepting applicants for the BS Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM) major in Farm Business course for June 2011. This agribusiness course emphasizes hands-on training at a farm campus in Jala-jala, Rizal.

Agribusiness is the chain that brings food from farm to plate and the sector is predicted to be a key employment generator in the next five to 10 years, according to the Project Jobsfit study of the Department of Labor and Employment.

BSEM is offered jointly by MFI, University of Rizal System (URS) Pilillia, and the Manage-ment Association of the Philippines.

MFI-FBI is also accepting enrollees for the two-year Diploma in Agricultural Entrep-reneurship course where out-of-school youth could be trained in the specialization areas of crop production, livestock production, aquaculture, horticulture, and coffee production.

Hands-on workshop seminars on bamboo, malunggay, coffee, urban gardening, bonsai, organic farming, and mango production are also offered by MFI-FBI.
