MANILA, Philippines — Hortaleza Corp., through its subsidiary Prime Global Corp., will put up a new state-of-the-art food processing plant for Barrio Fiesta products in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

The new plant will accommodate the growing demand for Philippine food products and as part of the company’s effort to provide Barrio Fiesta products to every Filipino family’s table worldwide.

“The company will continue to manufacture new and innovative products in the years to come. It will further expand its portfolio to condiments, sauces, mixes and snacks,” PGC president Alexone Hortaleza said.

The new facility is a testament to the continuing growth and success of the company, he said.

“PGC will continue to enhance, improve, and streamline its process in the supply chain,” he said, adding that people can now expect changes and improvements for Barrio Fiesta.

Barrio Fiesta products enjoyed a boom in sales in spite of the pandemic and economic slowdown with the rise of home chefs and home-based kitchen-restaurants.

Barrio Fiesta food products such as bagoong, gourmet patis, tubasuk (spiced sugar cane vinegar), crispy joy breading mix, peanut butter, chicken and beef broths and jumbo roasted peanuts also enjoy international presence in countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
