MANILA, Philippines - The peso breached the 44 level midday Monday, dipping to $44.079 from the previous day's 43.91.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $382.7 million in the morning, lower than the $636.1 million posted the same period on Friday.
The peso opened the week at 44.12.
