Dubbed as the best furniture retail show in the country, the biannual show consitently showcases the best in Filipino furniture design and craftsmanship. It has also brought recognition to many furniture makers.
"That’s probably why our phones have been ringing incessantly lately," Malou Balano, CFIP executive director enthused, "as furniture makers are trying to get the last few slots for exhibitors of the furniture festival."
The furniture festival, as in past shows, has always been a converging point of the country’s leading furniture makers and exporters. The show, themed, "Home for the Holidays" and scheduled on Nov. 10 to 19 at the Megatrade Halls 1-3, 5th level, SM Megamall B, is expected to bring in the furniture industry’s cream of the crop where the public can avail themselves of export-quality furniture pieces at affordable prices.
But more than just a shopper’s paradise, the festival organizers have also lined up a series of events designed to make the show more festive and informative. There will be seminars on home decorating and renovating. And in time for the Christmas season, organizers are planning to give special gifts to lucky visitors of the show as well as give special discounts to lucky shoppers.
Balano also announced that Milagros Drilon, president of the Senate Spouses Foundation of the Philippines, and Samie Lim, president of the Retailers Association of the Philippines, will lead the ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Aside from furniture items, the festival will also offer a variety of furnishings and houseware such as pottery, baskets, lamps, magazine racks and others. Interested exhibitors who wish to avail of the few remaining slots may contact Jemma or Jenny at 631-2834 or 632-9007.
